RV Donation
Donations of any kind have always been an opportunity to give back to the community. Donating to the community is a good way to help those in need. Donations can provide needed funds and supplies to help take care of those that are unable to care for themselves or their families. Donations in third world countries have become a necessity over the years, as conditions have only become worse in many of those countries. Even within our own country, donations are the answer to many who are struggling or who are in need.
Tax Deduction
Many times corporations or individuals will make donations and receive a tax deduction. This creates a win/win situation for everyone; both the donor and the receiver/s of the donation. The government has also made the process much easier for all to participate in. Since 2005, the donation process has become easier, and more donors feel that the benefits from donating are definitely worth the time and energy that donating sometimes takes.
Why Donate RVs?
Many times you will simply need the title of the R.V. Or other recreational vehicle. In some cases, even without a title the charity companies will be able to help receive your donation and work with you to get the proper paperwork needed.
Where Do I take my R.V. For Donation?
There are actually charities in most states and they will come to you and pick up the R.V. or other recreational vehicle. For those states or areas where this service is not provided, directions and instructions can be provided to the nearest drop-off point. The companies that make the donation possible strive to make the donation process smooth and easy for the donor. In some cases, the donor may want to choose which group or organization they would like their R.V. to be donated to. Groups and organizations such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters, United Way, American Red Cross, Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts of America, American Cancer Society, and Good Will are just to name a few charities that are more than happy to accept such donations.
What About Taxes
The charities that will accept your vehicle as a donation will then usually sell the R.V. in an auction. They will then notify you the amount the vehicle sold for. Since a law passed in 2005 stating that the entire sale price may be deducted, this will remove the guess work out of trying to complete the necessary paperwork for your taxes.
